Professor of Innovation and Organization at the Knowledge, Information and Innovation Research Group, School of Business and Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam

 

Hans Berends (1972) is Professor of Innovation and Organization at the Knowledge, Information and Innovation Research Group, School of Business and Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is an organization scientist with a background in philosophy and industrial engineering, and received a PhD from Eindhoven Universiteit of Technology for a dissertation on knowledge sharing in industrial research. His work has been published in leading journals including Organization Science, Organization Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Human Relations, and Journal of Product Innovation Management.

Dr. Ella Hafermalz

Assistant Professor at the KIN Center for Digital Innovation at the VU in Amsterdam

Dr Ella Hafermalz has studied new forms of working with technology, and in particular remote working, for over five years. In her PhD research she studied how remote workers use technology to stay connected with each other, managers, and their organisation. This has led to specific insights into experiences and strategies to address challenges of both working remotely and managing remote workers. Ella is an Assistant Professor at the KIN Center for Digital Innovation at the VU in Amsterdam, where she studies and teaches on topics of digital innovation, virtual organizing, and new ways of working.

Dr. Tibert Verhagen

Dr. Tibert Verhagen studeerde Internationale Economie aan de Universiteit Utrecht. Hij promoveerde in 2003 aan de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam op het onderwerp online koopgedrag waar hij vervolgens werkzaam was als Universitair Hoofddocent E-business. Zijn onderwijservaring omvat onder andere het opzetten en geven van onderwijs, het vormgeven en coördineren van Master specialisaties, en het begeleiden van afstudeerders en promovendi. Sinds april 2016 is hij werkzaam aan de Hogeschool van Amsterdam waar hij onderzoek doet naar winkelinnovatie en digitale marketing.
